We will ride super fun trails through the massive Mojave Desert and see some of the best views the desert has to offer.
1st Night (Jan 24) - : You can fly in to LAX where there is a convenient shuttle service that you will need to book ahead of your arrival date (Antelope Valley Airport Express). LAX is approximately 1.5-2 hours from Palmdale. You can also fly into Burbank which are about 1 hour from Palmdale. However, there is no shuttle service and you can use a ride share service such as Uber or Lyft or you can rent a car which you can drop off in the Palmdale/Lancaster area. You will need to arrive that evening at the Best Western in Palmdale (600 W Palmdale Blvd, Palmdale, CA 93551) where a room has been reserved for you under your name.
Day 1: We will begin our day at approximately 6:00am where we will pick you up from the hotel and transport you to our property. If you have a rental car that you are keeping, it can be parked safely there. This is also where you will get outfitted for any gear you need and be able to see the bike you will be riding. We will leave the property at approximately 7:00am and get breakfast along the way as we are headed to a local ride area where we will begin our cross-country adventure. We will have snacks, energy chews, water, and other items to pack into your hydration pack. You will be riding for approximately 3 hours before the chase vehicle meets us for lunch in the desert. There we will do the 3 Rs (refuel, restock and relax) and make any necessary bike adjustments. After lunch, we will ride for another 2-3 hours (making the day approximately 100-120 miles) where we will arrive at the private Trona cabins for the night. At the cabins, you will have a hot shower, enjoy some alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, eat a delicious dinner and sit by the fire to tell stories of the day.
Day 2: You will wake up to a hot pot coffee and be having breakfast around by 7:30am. We will start riding anywhere between 8:00-9:00am and be on the bike for approximately 3-4 hours before we see the fully stocked chase vehicle. We will be riding up and over the Slate range and into the beautiful Panamint Valley. We will also be exploring the outer edges of Death Valley. For this ride, we have both a novice or intermediate loop depending on the rider experience and we can split the group if necessary with our sweep rider. Lunch is normally in the old ghost of Ballarat where we will do the 3 Rs. After lunch, we will head into the Argus Range for another 2-3 hours of riding and can follow that up with some epic single track near the Trona cabins. We will ride approximately 80-100 miles on this day. You will again be treated to another relaxing and enjoyable evening by the fire at the Trona cabins.
Day 3: This day starts similar to Day 2 except that we will need to pack and load all of our belongs into the chase vehicle. We will headed back towards the El Paso Mountains and be riding for approximately 2.5-3 hours where we will meet up with the chase vehicle for lunch. Then after lunch, we will head into the El Pasos for some epic two-track trails where your day will end around 2:00-3:00 pm with approximately 80-90 miles under our belt for that day. Then we will get out of our gear, load everything up in the trailer and the chase vehicle will take us back to the Best Western in Palmdale where you can spend some time by the pool. Then we will go to dinner and wrap up the evening.
Day 4: You can sleep in and have breakfast at the hotel. We will pick you up around 10:00-11:00 am to head to the Anaheim Supercross. This will be a fantastic night with some spectacular racing under the lights in Southern California. Lodging will be in the Anaheim area that night.
Day 5: Breakfast will either be at the hotel or we will get breakfast at an off-site location. For those who want transport back into the Los Angeles area, we will be leaving the hotel at approximately 8:00am on Sunday (Jan 19) and can drop off people at LAX by 9:00am and Burbank by 10:00am.
Come join us for an epic experience that will make memories of a lifetime!
Each of our adventures listed above is based around a novice to intermediate rider ability (scale: beginner, novice, intermediate, expert). We can arrange rides for beginners, but we need to discuss the specific rider ability to ensure we create a safe and fun experience.
Don't let the daily mileage worry you, we can also arrange rides with less daily or overall mileage as needed for your group. We are very flexible.
Safety is extremely important to Coyote Trail Adventures. Our guides have GPS navigation and satellite phones along with being trained in First-Aid response.
We are 100% committed to ensuring that all you have to focus on is enjoying your ride on the bike! We take care of all the details to make your trip as epic as it can be! We even typically have the items that people might forget to bring. We have a tremendous amount of experience with helping riders with fatigue and first-aid issues such as blisters.
We have personally been on many moto adventures with other tour companies and we find that an ideal group size is between 4-8 riders which helps to keep the group riding at a pleasurable pace. Though, we can accomodate larger groups if needed.
For all our rides, we can also arrange pre or post-ride lodging in Palmdale for $140 double occupancy (cost for 2 people).
Feel free to call us and we can explain various options to get exactly what you are looking for.
For those who fly into LAX, there is a shuttle service that you can call to book: http://antelopeexpress.com/shuttle
